This is the first draft of the screenplay/script for our opening sequence, I wrote shortly after we were assigned the task in early October so it only contains the frist part of our sequence, I made notes on the page as I thought them up, in the top left I wrote down some possible films companys who might be associated with the type of movie we are making. This is an early draft so does not completely reflect the practical outcome but it shows the thought process I went on whilst creating the plot. The bottom scrawling may be hard to read; so here is what it says : "Mask" (refering to the grim reaper character's face)
Flicker Grim Reaper? (This is when I decided that splitting the shots and making them flicker from light to dark, or from normal to glichy would improve the scene)
Angel music playing (refers to our audio throughout the opening shot. We wanted it to sound angelic and comtemplative)
World turns evil when character disobeys (this is a plot idea I had where the character who is portrayed as an angel or "faith" switches from angelic looking to Grim Reaper. I figured the world being entirely creating the main characters own mind as it is, would be affected by the angels sudden shift from light to dark.)
Character follows "mask" and taps on shoulder, mask turns "flash" to angel character instead of mask man. (this is me taking the opening sequence a step further and thinking about what would come after, what I am noting here is a scene where the main character sees the Grim Reaper in a forest and follows him, as his reaches the Grim Reaper and taps him, in order to get his attention, the grim reapers turns and the shot would shudder and flash as he turns and the Reaper would change from evil to the angel version of himself. This scene would show that the Grim Reaper and the Angel are the same character because they both represent faith, just very different interpretations of the word. They are the same entity.)
This is our storyboard for the opening sequence of our movie called "Delude". This is how we plan to lay out and shoot the sequence. We have also included how we shall edit and implement audio to the piece. Notice how we have only planned out 1 minute 40 seconds worth of footage. We plan to include more flashes and increase the length of the title screen to make up the extra 20 seconds that would bring us to
